Our E-Store is Open!

It feels so official to say we have entered the e-commerce world! The decision to start selling online came from a logistical standpoint. The more I played with the features, the more I thought about the benefits and possibilities of growth. The store allows us to post both physical and digital products and it keeps track of inventory, shipping, taxes, etc., all in one place!

I am particularly excited to utilize the e-store this spring for merchandise and summer subscriptions sales!

I am currently finalizing the designs with MPrint for our spring merch line! I think you guys are going to love it! I might just buy one of each item for myself haha.

We are testing the waters for the e-store with February 14th right around the corner. Visit our website to order a lush and romantic Valentine's Day Arrangement for your special person. Or we also have gift cards available if you would rather let you person pick out their own bouquet at a later date during the farm fresh flower season.

STORY TIME! Tyler and I always have fun going on a Valentine's date, but we tend to choose a different night then actual Valentines Haha. One year, we tried to get into 3 different restaurants! THREE! They all had about a 2 hour wait. We ended up finding one with less wait, but from that night forward, we vowed to celebrate on a random night.

Valentine's Day might not seem like a big deal to some, but to me, it has always been a fun day. I knew Tyler was the "one" on the first Valentine's we spent together. I was a senior in college at ISU. Tyler and I had been talking on the phone while I worked on homework. We were sad that we couldn't spend the holiday together. All of a sudden, I heard a knock on my apartment door. Tyler was standing there holding my favorite flowers. He had them shipped in from California and hand delivered! He also gave me my first cut-flower book that night! Trust me when I say, he isn't always that romantic after 6 years, but his gesture really made me feel special. We ordered takeout and then he drove 2 hours back home to be at work the next day.

One thing that I love to do each year is to buy Tyler a farm themed card from Hungry Canyon | Home | Farm Greeting Cards Homemade in Iowa (hungrycanyondesign.com). Melissa makes custom cards that are agriculture accurate. Tyler gets a kick out of them! I plan to start the tradition with Dean. Just remember, those little traditions can go a long way!

What are your favorite traditions?

To start a tradition with HB Farms, visit our e-store at Shop | Mysite (hbfarms.shop). If you are on our home page, you will see a bar across the top of the site. Shop is listed and if you click on it, the store will appear. If you hover over it, it will take you to the gift cards. For Valentine's Day, we will have local pickup only! Coordinate with me to schedule a time!

I can't wait to see the sort of possibilities the e-store opens up for us! We hope to sell our beef directly from the website, promote upcoming workshops or sales, and advertise our merch!

Let me know if you have any questions and/or feedback! We are e-store newbies, and I am sure we will have kinks to work out. Don't be afraid to reach out if you have any troubles navigating the site.

XOXO

Morgan
